What happened
During a local training mission operating out of Puerto Ayacucho Airport, a single-engine airplane was performing maneuvers near the airfield. The aircraft was carrying a total of five pilots at the time of the accident. While the crew was executing a turn during the approach to runway 04, the aircraft became uncontrollable.
The plane subsequently struck a wooded area situated approximately 3 km south of the airport. The impact and a following fire resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were five fatalities resulting from the accident, as all occupants on board were killed.
