Accident Details
On final approach to Toronto City-Billy Bishop Airport, a twin-engine aircraft went out of control during a last turn and crashed into Lake Ontario. The aircraft was destroyed in the impact. All three occupants were killed.
Occupants
The pilot was Dr. Donald Frankel, president of the Flying Physicians Association. Also killed were his secretary, Luella Roberts, and Jacquelin Ann Boehne. The group was flying to Toronto to attend a physicians' annual convention.

The accident occurred while the aircraft was on final approach, executing the last turn before landing. During this maneuver, control was lost, and the aircraft descended into the lake.
