What happened
During the final approach to runway 31 at Semarang-Ahmad Yani Airport, a twin engine aircraft experienced a loss of control. The descent ended in a crash within the Bongsari district, situated less than 3 km from the airfield.
While the impact occurred close to the airport perimeter, the aircraft failed to complete its landing sequence. The incident resulted in seven injuries among the occupants, though no fatalities were reported.
Findings
There is currently no specific information regarding the underlying reason why the aircraft became uncontrollable during the approach phase.
