What happened
On the day of the accident, a twin engine airplane was performing an approach toward the Tarapoto-Comandante Guillermo del Castillo Paredes Airport. During this phase of flight, the aircraft encountered significantly degraded weather conditions. Shortly after encountering these difficult environmental factors, the plane went down a few kilometers away from the destination airfield.
Findings
Investigations into the crash indicate that the crew was operating in poor weather conditions at the time of the impact. The accident resulted in the deaths of both occupants on board the aircraft.
