What happened
During a flight departing from a remote airstrip in Merugwayi, a twin-engine aircraft went down in a wilderness region located in Kapingiro. The accident occurred shortly after the aircraft had departed, while the flight was operating under adverse weather conditions. The aircraft was carrying several passengers, including medical professionals traveling to provide healthcare services to local populations in the remote district.
Upon impact, the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss. There were seven injuries reported among the occupants of the plane. While all individuals on board sustained injuries, the co-pilot was noted to have suffered serious harm.
