A small aircraft crashed in a wooded area during its final approach to Göteborg-Landvetter Airport following a collision with trees.

What happened

During the final stages of an approach to Göteborg-Landvetter Airport, the aircraft encountered significantly reduced visibility caused by fog. While on short final, the plane descended below the required altitude, resulting in the right wing making contact with the tops of trees. This impact caused the aircraft to lose further altitude and ultimately crash into a forested area situated approximately 250 meters to the right of the extended centerline.

There were three people on board at the time of the accident. The incident resulted in two fatalities and one survivor.
