What happened
During a flight departing from Pereira-Matecaña Airport, the aircraft encountered critical issues shortly after takeoff. While the plane was in its climbing phase, the co-pilot issued an emergency declaration to notify air traffic control of ongoing difficulties. Following this communication, the aircraft began an uncontrolled descent.
The flight ended when the plane crashed in the vicinity of La Felisa. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were two fatalities involving the flight crew, as both the pilot and the co-pilot perished in the accident.
Findings
Following the emergency declaration regarding technical problems, the aircraft was unable to maintain its flight path, leading to the uncontrolled descent and subsequent impact.
