What happened
During a flight through unfavorable weather conditions, a twin engine aircraft struck trees and crashed within the hilly, forested landscape of the Santa Rosa del Toachi Mountain Range. The impact occurred while the aircraft was in the cruise phase of its flight. Following the accident, search efforts located the wreckage several hours after the event.
