Incident Overview
Following departure from Trinidad-Jorge Heinrich Arauz Airport, the flight crew experienced a failure of the right engine during the climb phase. The crew promptly reported the malfunction and received clearance to return to the airport. However, as the aircraft was unable to sustain a safe altitude, the captain made the decision to perform an emergency landing.
Emergency Landing
The aircraft subsequently crash landed in an open field situated in the vicinity of the airport. The impact rendered the aircraft damaged beyond repair. All three occupants—the flight crew members—were able to evacuate the aircraft with only minor injuries.

The probable cause of the accident, as stated in the official investigation, was the failure of the right engine after takeoff for unknown reasons.
