What happened
During an aerial mission involving an airlift operation near the border of Cambodia, the aircraft sustained damage after being struck by enemy fire on its starboard wing. Following the impact, the aircraft lost stability and went out of control. The plane subsequently crashed into the ground, resulting in a post-impact fire.
There were three fatalities among the crew members on board during the incident. No survivors were reported from the flight.

Investigations concluded that the primary factor leading to the loss of the aircraft was that it was shot down by enemy fire.
