What happened
The aircraft was conducting a local training flight when it departed from Hamble. During the en-route phase, the airplane lost control and entered an uncontrolled descent. The craft subsequently impacted the surface of Southampton Water in the vicinity of Netley.
Both individuals aboard the aircraft sustained injuries during the crash. One crew member suffered serious harm, while the second occupant was killed immediately or shortly after the impact. Despite initial survival, the injured individual succumbed to their wounds the following day, resulting in a total of two fatalities.
