What happened
On the morning of the accident, a single-engine aircraft departed from Barrancabermeja Airport at 09:00 local time. The flight was scheduled to proceed to Bogotá-Eldorado Airport.
While navigating the route between the two cities, the airplane impacted the slope of a mountain situated in the La Palma region. Following the disappearance of the aircraft, search efforts continued until the wreckage was located ten days after the initial departure.
Findings
There were three fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft. The flight crew and any passengers on board perished in the impact.
