What happened
A night flight originating from Campbell River, destined for Knight's Inlet, resulted in the disappearance of a single-engine aircraft and its occupants. At the time of the flight, the aircraft was carrying one pilot and four passengers. After the plane failed to reach its intended destination, search and rescue operations were launched by the RCMP and the RCAF.
Despite these efforts, the aircraft and all individuals on board remained missing for some time. On July 15, 2005, the wreckage was located by the families of the victims. The debris was found at a depth of 260 metres near Quadra Island. No survivors were reported following the discovery of the site.
