While traveling toward its destination of Segundo Corral, a twin engine aircraft impacted trees and came to rest within a heavily wooded region situated on the slope of Mt Puelo Alto. The impact caused significant damage to the airframe, rendering the aircraft a total loss.

Despite the severity of the crash, search and rescue operations were successful. All 21 occupants on board were located and brought to safety several hours after the incident occurred.
