What happened
Shortly after departing from Wiener Neustadt Airport, an aircraft experienced a critical loss of power. Approximately two minutes into the flight, while the plane was ascending to an altitude of roughly 60 meters, the engine ceased functioning properly.
In response to the mechanical failure, the pilot attempted an emergency descent to reach the ground safely. During this maneuver, the aircraft collided with two concrete walls. The impact was severe enough to cause the separation of both wings from the fuselage. Following the collision with the structures, the plane came to rest in a nearby field.
All six people on board sustained injuries during the accident. The aircraft was completely destroyed as a result of the crash sequence.
Findings
Investigations into the incident determined that the primary factor leading to the crash was an engine failure occurring during the takeoff and climb phase.
