What happened
Upon completing its landing at Lukla-Tenzing-Hillary Airport, a twin engine aircraft experienced a loss of directional control. The aircraft initially skidded along the runway surface before veering off the paved area. The movement continued until the plane came to a stop on a patch of dirt ground adjacent to the runway.
There were 12 occupants on board the aircraft during the incident. All passengers and crew members managed to exit the aircraft safely, and there were 0 fatalities or injuries reported following the excursion.
Findings
While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, the primary outcome was the successful evacuation of all individuals. The aircraft was declared damaged beyond repair following the impact with the ground.
