Incident Overview During an approach to Biên Hòa, a Spooky aircraft collided with a United States Air Force North American OV-10A Bronco, registration 67-14627, at an altitude of 3,500 feet. The collision occurred while both aircraft were in the approach phase. ## Outcome for the OV-10A Bronco Following the midair collision, the OV-10A Bronco dove into the ground and crashed. Both pilots aboard the Bronco were killed in the accident. ## Outcome for the Spooky The crew of the Spooky was able to continue the approach after the collision. Upon touchdown, the aircraft's undercarriage collapsed. The airplane slid for a few dozen yards before coming to rest. All three crew members aboard the Spooky sustained slight injuries.
