What happened
During an approach to the Dibrugarh-Mohanbari Airbase, an aircraft operated by the 11th Squadron experienced a loss of control. The plane descended into the Brahmaputra River, impacting the water a short distance from the airfield.
Despite the impact and the subsequent destruction of the airframe, all personnel on board were successfully evacuated. There were zero fatalities reported among the occupants following the incident.
Findings
The investigation indicates that the aircraft became uncontrollable while in the approach phase of flight, leading to the crash into the river.
