What happened
A flight departed from Albrook AFB in Panama City at 13:15 local time, with its intended destination being Cali. During the mission, the crew established radio contact with ground personnel at 15:20 local time, reporting that they were currently traversing the airspace above Buenaventura. This communication served as the final transmission from the aircraft, which vanished from radar approximately ten minutes later.
Following a two-week search period, investigators located the debris field within a mountain range situated near the border between the Chocó and Valle del Cauca states. The accident resulted in four fatalities, involving all members of the crew on board.
Findings
