What happened
During a nighttime flight traveling from Guwahati toward Bagdogra, the aircraft departed from its intended flight path for reasons that remain undetermined. The vessel subsequently impacted terrain within a mountainous area situated close to Hasimara, West Bengal.
Search efforts were unable to locate the wreckage immediately following the disappearance. It was not until six days after the incident that the debris field was discovered. There were no survivors of the impact; the crash resulted in 15 fatalities among the total number of occupants on board.
Findings
Investigations into the accident concluded that the primary factor leading to the crash was controlled flight into terrain.
