Accident Overview
On 7 February 2014, a de Havilland Canada DHC-7 Dash 7 aircraft with registration SU-CBC, operated by PAS, was involved in a ground collision at Terminal 3, Cairo Airport. The aircraft was parked at Stand A when a ramp vehicle (food truck) struck the left engine nacelle.
Occupants and Injuries
The aircraft had four crew members and no passengers. No injuries were reported.
Damage
The collision caused suspected damage to the left engine nacelle (internal and external structure), landing gear assembly, brakes, fuel lines, and hydraulic lines.
Findings
The investigation found that the ramp vehicle driver failed to follow procedures and was distracted. Two ramp protecting fences were present at the stand.

The probable cause of the accident was the ramp vehicle driver's failure to follow procedures and lack of attention.
