What happened
During a flight departing from São Paulo-Guarulhos Airport, the flight crew encountered deteriorating weather conditions. While the weather at the destination was initially assessed as favorable, visibility dropped below IFR minimums during the night approach to Uberaba Airport.
Despite the low visibility, the crew proceeded with the landing attempt. During the descent, the aircraft descended 240 feet below the minimum descent altitude. The aircraft subsequently impacted two residential buildings in the Conjunto Pontal district, which triggered a post-crash fire. The wreckage was located approximately 800 meters before the threshold of runway 17.
