What happened
During the departure phase from Foz do Iguauidade-Cataratas Airport, an aircraft encountered mechanical issues shortly after beginning its climb. Following the detection of these technical complications, the crew initiated a return procedure to the airfield. However, during the attempt to circle back, the crew determined that the aircraft lacked sufficient altitude or performance to reach the runway safely.
In response to the developing situation, the pilot executed an emergency descent into a corn field. During the impact with the terrain, the aircraft's landing gear was torn from the structure, causing the plane to slide several dozen meters across the ground before coming to a complete stop. The impact resulted in the aircraft being declared a total loss due to extensive damage.
Injuries and damage
There were four people on board at the time of the incident. Among the occupants, one passenger sustained minor injuries, while no other fatalities were reported. The aircraft sustained damage beyond repair.
