What happened
While performing an approach to Bardale Airstrip, a twin-engine aircraft impacted the ground approximately 5 km from the airfield. The impact caused the airframe to burst into flames, leading to the total destruction of the vessel. The flight was operating from Mogadishu to Bardale, which included a scheduled stop in Baidao. At the time of the accident, the aircraft was transporting medical supplies and mosquito nets.
