What happened
During operations at an airbase situated within South Vietnam, an airplane experienced a loss of directional control immediately following its arrival on the runway. After completing the touchdown phase of flight, the aircraft veered off the designated landing surface.
As the plane departed the runway, it struck a helicopter that was parked nearby. While the impact resulted in the total destruction of the airplane, there were no fatalities or injuries reported as a result of the incident.
Findings

- The collision occurred due to the plane veering off the runway into the path of a stationary helicopter.
