What happened
During a scheduled local test flight, an aircraft crashed shortly after departing from Mérida-Rejon Airport. The descent and subsequent impact occurred under circumstances that remain unidentified at this time. Following the loss of contact, search efforts located the wreckage roughly five kilometers away from the airfield.
There were three fatalities among the occupants of the plane. No survivors were reported from the scene of the accident.
