Probable Cause
The official investigation determined the probable cause to be an overshoot and collision with an object following improper in-flight decisions. Contributing factors included misjudgment of distance and speed, selection of the wrong runway relative to the existing wind, low ceiling, rain, downwind, hydroplaning on the wet runway, and running off the end of the runway.
