What happened
While performing a takeoff roll at Umeå Airport, the crew of the aircraft reached a speed of 50 knots when they were alerted by the tower controller that the plane was on fire. Upon receiving this notification, the crew immediately aborted the takeoff and began emergency braking procedures to bring the aircraft to a halt on the runway.
Following the stop, all seven occupants successfully evacuated the aircraft in approximately 15 seconds. Although the fire was subsequently extinguished, the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
