What happened

On 2 September 2024, a Cathay Pacific Airways Limited Airbus A350-1041, registered as B-LXI, was involved in a serious incident shortly after departing from Hong Kong International Airport. The flight was scheduled to travel to Zurich Airport in Switzerland. During the course of the flight, a fire occurred within the propulsion system.
