History of the Flight
On 24 May 2017, China Eastern Airlines Jiangsu Limited flight CES765, an Airbus A321-211 registration B-6366, departed Nanjing Lukou International Airport at 0800 hours local time on a scheduled public transport service to Hong Kong International Airport. After touching down on Runway 25R, the flight crew received instructions from air traffic control to vacate the runway via Taxiway A4. The aircraft continued past Taxiway A4 and, when approximately halfway between Taxiways A3 and A4, deviated from the runway centreline and veered to the right onto the grass verge. The aircraft came to a stop with its nose landing gear and right main landing gear on the grass at about 1051 hours local time.

Investigation
The Air Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) of Hong Kong conducted the investigation into the serious incident, in accordance with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and Hong Kong regulations.
