What happened
On June 16, 2022, at 12:03 UTC, a McDonnell Douglas MD83, registration YV480T, operated by Línea Aérea de Servicio Ejecutivo Regional, S.A. (LASER), was performing a commercial flight from Maiquetia International Airport to Puerto Ordaz. While the aircraft was in its descent phase and approaching its destination, it experienced a progressive cabin depressurization, which caused the emergency oxygen masks to drop.
The pilot in command followed the Quick Reference Handbook (QRH) emergency procedures and elected to continue the flight to the destination airport. The aircraft landed safely without further discrepancies, with no injuries reported and no damage to the airframe.
