What happened
On November 9, 2022, at approximately 16:13 UTC, a Cessna 182J, registration LV-ITV, was involved in a ground incident at Mar del Plata International Airport in Buenos Aires. The aircraft was conducting a general aviation training flight, having departed from San Fernando International Airport.
Following a successful landing, the aircraft proceeded to taxi toward its destination. During this taxi phase, the left main landing gear tire suddenly deflated. This loss of pressure caused the aircraft to come to a complete stop on the taxiway.
The investigation
The investigation focused on the sequence of events following the landing at Mar del Plata. The inquiry established that the incident occurred during the taxiing phase of operations and resulted in no injuries to the crew or passengers, though one individual sustained minor injuries.
