What happened
On July 27, 2022, at approximately 19:30 UTC, a Tecnam P9 2, registered as LV-S037, was involved in a ground incident at Presidente Perón International Airport in the province of Neuquén. The aircraft, which was performing a general aviation flight intended to transit from the airport to the Allen Aeroclub, was in the process of taxiing to the runway threshold for departure. During this maneuvering phase, the nose gear tire deflated.
The investigation
The National Directorate for the Investigation of Aeronautical Occurrences (DNISAE) conducted an intervention following the event. The investigation focused on the mechanical failure of a component within the landing gear system. The inquiry established that the incident occurred during the movement of the aircraft to occupy the takeoff position. The investigation concluded that there were no material damages resulting from the deflation.
