Event Description
On December 4, 2021, at 12:37 local time, a Tecnam P2006T twin-engine high-wing aircraft, registered HA-ENI, operated by PharmaFlight Zrt., executed a landing with the landing gear retracted on runway 04R at Debrecen Airport (LHDC). The flight was a non-commercial test flight. The aircraft slid on its lower fuselage after touchdown. No occupants were injured, and the aircraft sustained minor damage.
The pilot and a passenger were on board. Earlier, the pilot had landed a Dassault Falcon 8X (HA-LKW) at Debrecen after five touch-and-go maneuvers, shortly after 12:00. The Tecnam P2006T had landed at 12:10 before departing again for the test flight.
Investigation Findings
The Hungarian Transportation Safety Bureau (KBSZ) conducted the investigation. It determined that the direct cause of the incident was the pilot's failure to extend the landing gear, resulting from reduced situational awareness. The investigation also identified indirect contributing factors, though these were not specified in detail. No safety recommendations were issued, as no circumstances warranted them.
The investigation included a site inspection, witness interviews, analysis of radio communications and radar data, and review of aircraft technical logs and maintenance records. The aircraft's technical log initially listed the passenger as a crew member under training but was later amended to non-commercial flight.
