What happened
During the initial climb phase following departure from Guadalajara-Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Airport, the flight crew identified issues related to high voltage within the aircraft's systems. In the process of attempting to rectify these electrical irregularities, the aircraft experienced a complete failure of its electrical system.
After notifying Air Traffic Control of the situation, the crew received authorization to perform an emergency return to the airport. During the landing sequence, the landing gear of the aircraft collapsed upon contact with the runway. This caused the aircraft to slide along the ground on its fuselage, which subsequently resulted in a post-crash fire.
Outcomes
- All six occupants successfully evacuated the aircraft.
- There were zero fatalities and zero injuries reported among the crew and passengers.
- The aircraft was destroyed during the fire.
