What happened
A charter flight operating from Brazzaville Airport toward Paris-Le Bourget, with a scheduled stop in Tamanrasset, Algeria, crashed in the Jakiri region. The aircraft was cruising at flight level 390 under favorable weather conditions when it suddenly lost control and entered a steep dive into mountainous terrain. No distress signals were transmitted by the crew before the impact.
The wreckage of the plane was located several hours after the incident in a remote area. There were nine fatalities recorded, including both pilots and seven passengers.
