What happened

During a flight departing from San José-Tobías Bolaños Airport toward Tortuguero National Park, an aircraft entered a stall during the initial climb phase. The descent led to the plane striking a residential building located in the Rohrmoser district, approximately 3 km southeast of the departure airfield.

Onboard the aircraft, there were four fatalities among the passengers. Additionally, 14 injuries were reported, with several individuals sustaining serious harm. The impact also involved occupants of the house; however, a nurse and two young girls residing in the structure escaped the incident without injury.

Following the accident, the pilot's condition deteriorated, and the captain passed away from his injuries on January 30, fifteen days after the crash.
