What happened
During an approach to Mocorón-Durzona Airport, the flight crew encountered significantly reduced visibility caused by heavy rainfall. While attempting to navigate the weather conditions, the aircraft descended below a safe altitude and collided with hilly terrain located a short distance from the airfield.
