What happened
During the approach to Niamey Airport, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The descent ended in a crash approximately 10 km southeast of the airport, specifically in the vicinity of the village of Sorey. Upon impact, the aircraft caught fire and was completely destroyed.
There were 14 fatalities recorded in the accident, with no survivors reported among the occupants.
Findings
Following the impact, the wreckage was consumed by flames. The investigation into the crash near the airport indicates that the aircraft became uncontrollable during its final approach phase.
