What happened
During a scheduled training mission originating from Brunswick NAS, an aircraft went down in the Atlantic Ocean. The incident occurred approximately 40 miles away from the coast. Following the impact, the debris and wreckage descended to a depth estimated between 300 and 600 feet below the ocean surface.
There were five fatalities among the crew members on board at the time of the accident. No survivors were reported from the flight.
