What happened
On August 23, 2024, an An-2, registration RA-33305, completed a flight from Kapitonovka to Solnechny in the Ust-May District of the Sakha Republic. The flight was part of a contractual obligation to transport a musical group to a scheduled performance. The aircraft landed at the Solnechny destination at 11:10, and no technical issues were reported during this initial leg of the journey.
Following the arrival, a technician performed post-flight preparations and refueled the aircraft with 1000 liters of B-91/115 fuel. The fuel used was documented as being covered by a valid certificate dated February 8, 2024. A return flight from Solnechny back to Kapitonovka was scheduled to depart at 07:00 on August 24, 2024.
