On October 17, 2021, a Cessna 182T, registration RA-67213, was involved in an accident at the Columbus airstrip in the Almaty Region, Kazakhstan. The pilot had arrived at the airstrip with a passenger to conduct underwater hunting and to ferry the aircraft to Russia. The aircraft had been left at the airstrip since September 16, 2021.
Prior to the accident, the pilot performed pre-flight preparations between 10:50 and 11:15 local time. The pilot added approximately 0.95 liters of Shell 15W-50 motor oil to the engine. The aircraft's fuel tanks contained approximately 160 kg of Avgas 100LL gasoline. The pilot reported that the aircraft was fully operational and assessed their own health as good prior to departure.
During the takeoff attempt, the aircraft encountered a soft runway surface. The pilot initiated an early lift-off at a low airspeed, resulting in a double landing. This sequence led to the aircraft performing a nose-over.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported in the accident. The aircraft was operated by OOO "SPC D-Stroy".
