Flight Overview
On 25 November 2021, the Mi-2 helicopter with registration RA-20406, operated by Avia Company Konvers Avia (JSC), was scheduled to perform an aviation work flight for the purpose of well inspection. The flight was conducted under a contract with Lukoil-Avia LLC (dated 12 January 2021 No. ART-02/20) in the interests of the territorial production enterprise Pokaçevneftegaz, part of Lukoil – Western Siberia LLC. The planned route was: Langepas landing site – Pokaçi landing site – Severo-Eguryakhskoye field – Pokaçi landing site – Langepas landing site.
Pre-Flight Preparations
The pilot-in-command (PIC) stated that on the day before the flight, he confirmed with the customer the geographic coordinates of landing points, departure time, number of passengers, and cargo. This information was forwarded to the flight operations dispatch service (PDSP) of Avia Company Konvers Avia for necessary pre-flight calculations and inclusion in the flight plan. The departure was set for 04:00 on 25 November 2021. Based on the PIC's data, the PDSP filed an airspace usage plan (SID / 777290600 – C / ZYULEW). The PIC had rested at home for more than 8 hours prior to the flight. He arrived at Langepas landing site at 03:00 and began pre-flight preparations.
Weather and Medical Clearance
The weather forecast was obtained and analyzed by the PIC via the MetAvia 2 automated information system. The forecast was suitable for visual flight rules (VFR). Because no medical officer authorized to conduct pre-flight medical checks was present at Langepas landing site, the PIC made the decision on crew fitness for flight, which is permitted under paragraph 8.10.1 of Federal Aviation Rules FAP-128. The source does not state whether any accident or incident occurred during or after this flight.
