On June 21, 2016, a Mi-2 helicopter operated by OOO APK "Vektor" performed several flight legs. Following the completion of two initial tasks, the aircraft departed from the settlement of Bisert at 14:00 to transport a patient and two medical personnel to the Scientific Research Institute of Medicine No. 1 (OKB No. 1) in Yekaterinburg. The flight was conducted at an altitude of 200 meters.
After arriving at the destination at 14:37:45 and disembarking the passengers, the pilot prepared for a return flight to the base at Reshety. The pilot initiated takeoff at 14:50 with a heading of 290°. After turning the aircraft to a heading of 110°, the pilot attempted a takeoff involving acceleration within the air cushion zone.
During this maneuver, the aircraft RA-23709 experienced a significant increase in pitch, causing the rotor blades to make contact with the ground. The helicopter then turned to the left, collided with the ground, and overturned onto its right side. No injuries were reported among the pilot or the medical personnel.
At the time of the accident, the aircraft was carrying the pilot and 50 kg of cargo consisting of a medical kit. The pilot reported the event to the management of LLC "APK VECTOR," which subsequently provided further notifications regarding the incident.
