On 14 February 2020, the crew of Mi-8AMT RA-24636 conducted pre-flight preparations at Sabetta airport for a planned personnel transport flight, rescheduled from 12-13 February due to weather.

Flight Plan

According to the flight plan and task assignment No. 02-02-86-02 dated 11 February 2020, the crew of Mi-8AMT RA-24636 was scheduled to perform a flight along the route: Sabetta airport – landing site No. 1 (Leskinsky oil and gas production department) – landing site Leskinsky oil and gas production department – landing site No. 1 (Leskinsky oil and gas production department) – Sabetta airport. The purpose was to transport personnel of OOO "GPN-GEO" based on requests dated 10 February 2020 (No. 1-S, 2-S). Initially, flights under these requests were planned over two days: 12 and 13 February 2020. Due to weather conditions, the departure was postponed to 14 February 2020 and scheduled for 04:00.

Pre-Flight Preparations

On 11 February 2020, a preliminary briefing was conducted at Sabetta airport with the crew, led by a pilot-instructor of OOO "AK "SKOL". Pre-flight rest was organized at the hotel in the Sabetta work camp. At 02:50 on 14 February 2020, the crew arrived at Sabetta airport, where the helicopter was based. At 03:00, the crew began pre-flight preparations. Weather Briefing

Fueling

At 03:50, the helicopter was refueled with 1535 kg of TS-1 fuel, as per request No. 000359 dated 14 February 2020. A quality certificate for the fuel (No. 83 dated 25 January 2020) was presented to the commission. Before the first flight on the day of the occurrence, the total fuel quantity was 3585 kg.
