On November 26, 2015, a Mi-8T helicopter, registration RA-25361, was operating a scheduled passenger flight from Igarka airport to several settlements, including NPS-2 and Krasnoselkup. After completing pre-flight procedures and passenger boarding, the crew taxied to the runway and performed a takeoff using an airplane-style method. The aircraft departed with 22 passengers on board and a takeoff weight of 10,528 kg.
Approximately 1.5 minutes after takeoff, while the helicopter was at a true altitude of about 105 meters, the aircraft began developing a right bank following a right turn. At 03:59, the helicopter reached a right bank of more than 50 degrees with an indicated airspeed of approximately 270 km/h, at which point it collided with the icy surface of the Yenisei River, located about 10 km from Igarka airport.
The impact caused significant damage to the aircraft. The accident resulted in 12 fatalities, consisting of the crew and 9 passengers. No fire was reported following the collision.
