On June 2, 2017, a TVS-2MS aircraft, registration RA-2099G, operated by FGUP "SibNIA named after S.A. Chaplygin," was scheduled for a demonstration flight from Chingis Khan Airport (Ulaanbaatar) to Eroo. The crew consisted of a captain and a second pilot, and the aircraft was carrying two maintenance technicians and eight passengers.
The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 04:00, but the departure was delayed until 06:40 because the passengers had not arrived. The aircraft eventually took off at 07:18. Prior to departure, the captain conducted pre-flight preparations and verified the health of the crew members.
At the time of the incident, the aircraft was fully equipped and fueled with 1150 liters of fuel. The flight was intended to take place within class 'G' airspace.
During the takeoff phase, the aircraft entered a stall condition. Investigation into the flight parameters revealed that the aircraft's weight and center of gravity were outside of the permitted operational limits.
