What happened
A cargo flight operating from Shanghai-Pudong Airport toward Bishkek experienced a critical failure during its departure from runway 35L. The aircraft, a three-engine transport, was carrying a variety of goods and a total of seven crew members at the time of the incident.
As the aircraft proceeded through its takeoff roll, the pilot-in-command attempted to rotate the plane. However, the aircraft failed to achieve sufficient lift, experiencing a negative vertical speed. Consequently, the plane did not depart the ground as intended and instead overran the runway. The sequence ended when the aircraft struck an open field. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the three-engine aircraft. Among the seven people on board, there were three fatalities and four injuries.
Findings
The primary factor in the accident was the failure of the aircraft to lift off properly during the rotation phase of the takeoff roll, which led to the subsequent runway overrun and crash.
