What happened
On a night flight operating for Encotesa, a twin-engine aircraft departed from Neuquén-Juan Domingo Perón Airport. The mission was a cargo transport scheduled to travel from Neuquén to Buenos Aires-Ezeiza Airport, with a planned stopover in Bahía Blanca.
During the initial climb phase, the crew established contact with air traffic control to provide an estimated time of arrival for the intermediate stop in Bahía Blanca. During this communication, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The plane subsequently impacted the ground in the Chimpay area, located approximately 4 km northeast of the departure airport. The impact resulted in a post-crash fire. There were two fatalities among the crew.
