What happened
During a scheduled flight traveling from Naha to Taipei, the crew encountered an unforeseen operational issue that necessitated immediate action. Unable to continue directly to the destination or return to the origin, the pilots executed an emergency landing on Uotsuri Island, located in the Pacific Ocean. The aircraft came to rest on the island, and all personnel aboard remained on site until rescue operations could be initiated.
Findings
Rescue teams successfully located the aircraft and extracted all 13 occupants from the wreckage or fuselage the day after the incident. No fatalities were reported in this event, and the group was accounted for following the emergency diversion.
